Why Hawk-Moths? Liminality is a powerful state of being that, in its very nature, opens up a world of possibilities. Hawk-Moths, moths that mimic hummingbirds, are the perfect guides for such places and experiences.

Happy Lughnasa!
Lughnasa or Lamas is the first harvest festival. Neo-Pagans associate it with the harvest of the grain and seasonal fruits. In Anglo-Saxon England, a loaf of bread made from the first wheat harvest was taken to the church and blessed.
In Ireland up untill the mid 18th century, it was customary to picnic on a local spot known for it's view and gather flowers for garlands. Our family continues that tradition today, climbing the sledding hill at Granger Meadows on the last Sunday of July or the first Sunday of August, whichever is closer to the first, at twilight. There we enjoy a lovely repast. Afterwards, we perform a small ritual.
On Loughnasa proper, I gathered flowers and herbs from the garden. The herbs were made into clensing bundles and set to to dry. One of our personal goals is to get away from using white sage as much as possible due to habitate destruction. If you're unsure if your sage is ethically sourced, please do not buy it.
